Lifting
Equipment Rental, home to one of the largest ranges of specialist
lifting equipment for hire and sale in Scotland, today (Monday 28th
November 2016) announces its support of Aberdeen Cyrenians’ Christmas Appeal.
The firm, based on Aberdeen’s Commercial Quay, is spreading
Christmas goodwill by gifting a monetary donation as well as providing shelving
for the storage room at the Summer Street premises and a range of new underwear
and socks for the North East of Scotland’s most vulnerable people.
John Aitken, owner of Lifting Equipment Rentals, says, “We are delighted
to be working together with Aberdeen Cyrenians
to make a difference to an increasing number of people experiencing hardship,
poverty and homelessness in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.”
John continues, “We are inviting and encouraging all
our customers and friends to donate and together provide the most basic of
relief to those who have fallen on or are experiencing difficult times. A
donation of as little as £5 will go a long way towards the cost of providing a
hot meal, shower, laundry and support. Christmas is a time for family and
celebrations but for some it can be a sad, distressing and lonely time. We are
calling on local businesses to do what they can.”
